Welcome to Active Paws Fitness and Activity Centre
Active Paws is a place for dog training classes, one to one dog behaviour support, one to one dog training as well as having dog specific training equipment and dog treadmills for you to book and use as and when it suits you.
We're on a mission to help dogs to be the best they can be, mentally and physically, and for owners to be able to enjoy their furry friend(s). So, we have created a dog friendly and owner appealing venue for you to learn, have fun, condition and build an even stronger relationship with your dog(s).
You can join one of our varied classes or come and use the space at your own pace:
Our varied training classes are designed to be fun and enjoyable for all levels and ages of dogs and humans. All our classes have a behaviour angle to them - TD Rally is great to build attention and focus on the owner. We use this to teach great loose lead walking and off lead work, Agility works on distance obedience like recall and working with you off lead, Follow your Nose is great for dogs that naturally use their nose so they can learn that it is more fun to do this with you than on their own, our Puppy classes will teach you the best way to work with your puppy and build trust that will set you up for life and our Lifeskills classes helps rescues and rehomes as well as the follow on for puppies where we ensure that all the key life skills your dog will need are covered and built on.
With the expertise of Nycky Edleston of Classic Physiotherapy, we have put together a Fit for LIFE class to help those dogs who need more careful exercise and to help maintain muscle tone and conditioning. This is suitable for dogs of any age and honestly works wonders!!!
There really is something for everyone at Active Paws.
We have gathered the dog specific best equipment we can find and brought it all to Active Paws. Some of it is used in the very specific classes we have put together for your dog post operation, click here for further details on these, but it is also here for you to use when you choose.
